Carl the lost cat found after 3 years 8km from home by cat loving couple while walking their fur babies, and after social media search tearfully reunited with original family, rescuers say: ‘If you ever lose a cat, never give up hope.’

While many lost cat stories involve a hooman coaxing the lost kitty out of hiding. In this story it is pair of sibling felines who do the miraculous work of drawing a scared lost kitty out of hiding and on its way back to its pawrents.

A magical reunion story if ever we have heard one, and let us tell you we have heard more than our fair share. But the fact that this whole story was made possible by the friendly felines who invited the lost cat to come and play with them is truly remarkable. Often cats take quite a while to warm up to each other. Requiring careful distancing and cautious optimism.

But Carl, our distressed runaway, must have been so tired of being alone for those many years away from home that he was ready to leap at the opportunity to spend some time with anyone. Thankfully he chose some good people and cats to spend time with and they did the hard work of finding his fur family who were overjoyed to be reunited with their cat love.

Oh goodness, if this is not one of the sweetest and most polite beginnings to a feline rescue story then we simply do not know what is. In what world did these cattos invite the scared stray to come and play with them? Cats even at the best of times have a hard time tolerating each other. Usually opting to spend time alone at any cost. Which makes this behavior all the more unique as you would hardly imagine a bonded pair of cats inviting a stranger to play with them. But thank goodness they did as it was the first step in Carl’s journey back to his fur family.

Holy what in the what? Is this a lost cat story or a disney movie? How is it possible that this story would be so darn wholesome and heartwarming. Especially that this cat spent days walking around with this fur family after being alone for such a long time. We cannot imagine how sad and lonely he must have been in those years. And at that, how delighted he must have been to find people and cats who want to spend time with him. Oh poor Carl, our hearts go out to you.
